Welcome to Review Characters Subway Surfers to Kiloo's super-popular running game.

Subway Surfers is an endless action video game presented by Kiloo & SYBO Games. The player takes on the role of an average teen (or on rare occasions young adult) vandalizing a subway train, and is caught by The Inspector and his dog. The player must run away from the two, who is chasing him/her. In the Sydney Update, they added Keys, which revives the character if they should to use them. The game is available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms.

Launched in 2012, "World Tour" is the theme of the game, where the setting are in cities like New York, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Rome, Tokyo and Miami have been featured till now. The game starts with a default character, Jake. However, as you collect more coins you'll eventually get the chance to unlock new characters. As well as coins, you can collect UFO's and Radio's in order to unlock Yutani and Fresh, respectively.



Gameplay
The object of the game is to run as far as possible in a endless game world while avoiding randomly generated obstacles that require the player to either jump (slide finger forward), duck (slide finger backwards) and dodge the oncoming trains in a precise manner.

The playable characters have the same abilities, and differ only in cosmetic appearances.

Subway Surfers Characters

Yutani Subway Surfers

Yutani Subway Surfers is a character that can be unlocked by collecting 500 Yutani UFO's tokens. It's said that Yutani is the hardest character to get, as it requires the most tokens among the other token characters.

Appearance
Yutani's appearance is probably a girl in an alien suit, with the alien suit being green with spots at the bottom, with 2 antennae, 2 large eyes, and 4 arms. The upper arms are the real arms and the lower arms are just apart of the suit.



Trivia

• Among all the characters that requires tokens to unlock, Yutani requires the most tokens to be collected.
• Yutani and Dino are currently the only non-limited characters not to receive their own new outfits yet.
• Yutani may be a reference to the Weyland-Yutani cooperation from Aliens Vs Predators.
• Many people have believed Yutani is a boy, and others think Yutani is a girl. It's most likely that Yutani is a female, as all of the male characters so far doesn't have sticked-out eyelashes, while Yutani does.

Yutani Subway Surfers

Jake Subway Surfers

Jake is the default character in Subway Surfers. He is the first character seen on the game and is also the first playable character used when playing Subway Surfers for the first time.


Appearance
Jake is a light-skinned boy with a light-blue jacket, a white hoodie sweater with a red shirt inside it. He also wears a red hat with "Sub Surf" written, with green and red shoes and light-blue pants. He is also always seen holding a yellow graffiti spray can.

During the Miami update, two outfits, the Dark Outfit and the Star Outfit were given for him to buy and wear.



Dark Outfit
Jake's Dark outfit is an in-game freebie (costs 0 key) that is quite similar to his default outfit, the main change being on the colour of his clothes. His jacket is dark blue, the hoodie is dark-grey and the white portion of his hat is black. His shoes get black and red and he wears dark blue trousers and sunglasses, along with dark fingerless gloves.

Star Outfit
Was introduced in the Miami update and costs 30 key. Most of his clothing (hoodie, trousers and shoes) are red though notable changes are his golden headphones, necklace and wristwatch.

Trivia

• Jake and Tricky are the only characters to appear on the loading screen, and along with Fresh are the main characters of the game. He and Tricky were the first characters in which outfits were implemented.
• His Dark Outfit is currently the only outfit in the game to be given out for free.
• He and Tricky are the only characters in the game who have their limited edition counterparts, Zombie Jake and Elf Tricky respectively..

Jake Subway Surfers

Tricky Subway Surfers

Tricky Subway Surfers is a character that can be unlocked by collecting 3 Tricky's Hat tokens. She is the easiest character to unlock which makes her the second main character after Jake.

Appearance
Tricky is a girl with a red hat, black-squared specs, tank top, black belt, light-blue sagging jeans, blonde hair, and shoes that look like Jake's. In the Subway Surfers: Christmas edition she had a limited alter-ego named Elf Tricky.




She also has two other outfits which are the Camo Outfit and the Heart Outfit. They cost 25 key and 40 key respectively.

• Tricky and Jake are the first characters in the game to receive outfits.
• She is also the first token character to receive new outfits.
• Tricky and Jake are always the only characters to appear on the loading screen.

Tricky Subway Surfers

Spike Subway Surfers

Spike Subway Surfers is a character that can be unlocked by collecting 200 Spike's Guitars tokens.

Appearance
Spike looks like a "teenage punk rocker" with a white tank top, a black jacket with spikes at the shoulders, light-blue jeans, black shoes with red shoelaces, and a mohawk colored red and gray. He received 2 new outfits, which are the Rock Outfit and the Punk Outfit. They cost 25 and 40 Key respectively.

Trivia

• Both outfits change Spike's hairstyle, similarly to Frizzy and Tasha.
• His outfits are both based on music genre.

Spike Subway Surfers

Lucy Subway Surfers

Lucy Subway Surfers is a girl whose looks are styled like some kind of alternative subcultures, most likely punk. She can be unlocked by purchasing her with Coin 7,000.

Appearance
Lucy is a girl with green eyes and shoulder-length hair dyed in a gradient of blue and pink. She wears a black nose ring, a spiky bracelet, high dark brown boots, blue striped stocking/leggings/tights, a white dress with a dark red corset and a large red bow on its back. Lucy looks like a rebellious teenage girl, judging by her sense of style, and the fact that she chooses to wear a nose piercing. Her head is shaved from the other side which gives it a fun edgy and punky look. She received two new outfits, which are the Goth Outfit and the Steam Outfit. Both outfits costs 15 key and 30 key respectively. They change her image to two other alternative subcultures - Goth and Steampunk.


In her Goth outfit, her dress became black and red. She wears more makeup than in her casual version. Her makeup includes a black lipstick, pink eye shadows and a black eyeliner. The latest also includes gradually thinning stripes that go down from the center of each of her eyes. She also changes from blue to black and red stockings.

In her Steam outfit, her dress became white and green instead of exclusively white. She also has green goggles and a brown top hat adorned with a clock and a green ribbon. Her striped leggings become darker and her dark brown boots have a yellow and orange front.

Trivia

• Lucy is the cheapest buyable character in the game, as she can be unlocked by purchasing her with Coin 7,000.
• She seems to be pretty fast, or at least faster than Jake.
• Her hairstyle, corset, back dress bow and spiked bracelet remain unchanged throughout her outfits, unlike most, if not all of her other features.
• Lucy's natural hair color appears to be black judging by the color of her eyebrows and the shaved part of her hair.
• Despite these clues, it is hard to confirm her hair's natural color, because it can be explained by her dying her eyebrows and the rest of her hair black.
• Her makeup is somewhat similar to Eric Draven's from The Crow.

Prince K Subway Surfers

Prince K subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by purchasing with Coin 980,000. Prince K is the most expensive character of all characters in Subway Surfers.

Appearance
Prince K is a boy with a brown robe, red and green belt, light chocolate skin, golden shoes, watch and sunglasses. It seems that he's of Arabian or northern African descent, due to his brown skin color and his unique outfit, even the Prince of it.

During the Vancouver edition, he received the Jag Outfit. He wears a robe which is the skin of a white leopard, 2 golden headbands, and his sunglasses have turned into 'golden glasses'.


During the second release of Paris, he received the most expensive outfit, the Shine Outfit, which is the gold'est' out of all the other outfits. His clothes change to white and shiny, and he gets a necklace.

• He is the second royal character, the first being King.
• He has the most expensive outfits than any other character, with his Jag Outfit and Shine Outfit costing 100 Key and 280 Key, respectively.
• He, Tony and Jamie are the only characters with specs.
• Unlike other two, he is a non-limited character.

Prince K Subway Surfers

Brody Subway Surfers

Brody subway surfers can be unlocked by purchasing with Coin 350,000. Brody is the second most expensive character in Subway Surfers.

Appearance
Brody looks like a young lifeguard. He wears a shark's tooth necklace, a watch,deep blue shirt,a pair of blue flip flops, and blonde hair with sunglasses on it.

• During the Seoul edition, Brody received his very first outfit - the Posh Outfit, costing 35 Key.
• During the Mexico City edition, he received his second outfit - the Chill outfit, costing 70 Key.

In his first outfit, the Posh outfit his shirt changes to black and he is now wearing his glasses. His pants are also changed to brown. In his Chill outfit, he now has a large red headband with two v shaped white lines on the top of the headband. His glasses are now pink/red and are oval shaped. His necklace are now multicolored with a green peace sign hanging at the bottom. Everything else however, still remains the same.



Trivia

• Brody appears to have the most different idle animations in the character select screen out of all characters (including limited characters).
• He is the first character to wear flip flops, the second being Kim (Original only), and the third being Edison.
• He and Nick are the only blond boys in Subway Surfers.
• He has sunglasses in all of his outfits.
• However, in his original outfit his sunglasses are on the top of his head instead.

Brody Subway Surfers

Tasha Subway Surfers

Tasha  subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by purchasing with Coin 30,000.

Appearance
Tasha looks like an athletic cheerleader with a short tank top, white socks with red stripes, red shoes, and blue shorts over her black leggings. She also has her blonde hair tied with a blue hair band. During the Mumbai update, she received a new outfit called the Cheer Outfit that costs 15 Key. And her second outfit, the Gym Outfit was from the re-released Miami edition which costs 30 Key.


In her Cheer outfit, her hair now changed to piggy tails style, with her hair going to both left and right of her head. She now wears a shirt purple shirt and pants, though her short leggings and shoes remained the same. She also seems to be holding a purple pompom. In her Gym Outfit, her hair style changes again, now one great stash of her hair is sticking out of the right of her hair. She now wears green earrings and a pink shirt. Her short pants are now outlined neon green and her socks are changed to long pink socks. However, her shoes and leggings still remains the same.

• Tasha's hair style changes according to her outfit, just like Spike and Frizzy.

Tasha Subway Surfers

Fresh Subway Surfers

Fresh subway surfers is a character in Subway Surfers. He can be unlocked by collecting 50 Fresh's Stereos Radio tokens.

Appearance
Fresh is a boy with a very high military-style haircut, slightly dark brown skin and brown eyes. He wears thick glasses, a green tank top, orange shorts, blue, grey and red sneakers and white socks with two different colored stripes. He is also holding a radio wherever he goes.



During the Beijing Fresh was given 2 new outfits which are the Funk Outfit and the Sport Outfit edition, they cost 25 Key and 40 Key respectively.

Trivia

• He keeps his radio in his Funk Outfit, just in a different color, while he holds a basketball instead in his Sport Outfit.
• He, Frank and Roberto are the only characters to carry an item throughout the gameplay.

Fresh Subway Surfers

Frizzy Subway Surfers

Frizzy subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by purchasing with Coin 150,000. Frizzy is the most expensive female character in the game. She is also the third most expensive character in Subway Surfers.

Appearance
Frizzy looks like a young female adult with afro-styled hair, big hoop earrings, a red and white striped jacket, red shoes, dark red pants, and white socks with red stripes and is dark-skinned. She received 2 new outfits, which are the Rasta Outfit and the Gold Outfit, they cost 15 and 30 Key respectively.



In her Rasta outfit, she wears a colorful hat over her afro and wears glasses with golden outlining. The line on her shirts' sleeve are now yellow. Her socks are also changed to green. In her Gold Outfit, her hair changes. One roll of her hair is sticking upwards while the other sticks behind it, facing left and right. Her outfit turns from red to black/brown and the line on her sleeve is now gold, as well as the lines in the bottom of her shirt. The lines on her socks are now brown, though her shoes still remains the same.

• Frizzy's hairstyle changes according to her outfit, just like Spike and Tasha.

Frizzy Subway Surfers

Ninja Subway Surfers

Ninja subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by purchasing with Coin 20,000.

Appearance
Ninja looks like a regular ninja except his ninja outfit is brownish instead of black, with a red belt, and he wears red wooden sandals. Ninja is probably based on Japanese/Asian Ninjas.



In his Yang Outfit, which costs 15 Key, all of the black of his outfit turns white, except for his socks and arms who remains black. His belt also changes from red to black. His shoes are also changed from red sandals to black, and his socks changed from black to white. In his Flame Outfit, which costs 30 Key, he now wears a short-sleeved black shirt. Around his waist is a white belt. He now wears blue shorts with flames coming from the bottom. He also now wears red and white shoes.

• Both him, Noon and Sun are martial artists.
• Unlike the other two, he is a non-limited character.

Ninja Subway Surfers

Dino Subway Surfers

Dino subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by connecting to Facebook. It was introduced in the game Subway Surfers World Tour: Bangkok.

Appearance
Dino is a person in a blue dinosaur suit with big eyes, three teeth and a pink belly with a zipper across it's belly. He appears with a pale brown tower.

Trivia

• Dino is the first and currently the only character who you need to connect to Facebook in order to be unlocked.
• This make it the second free character, the first being Jake.
• Dino is the second character in a suit, the first was Yutani.
• This also makes it the third character whose gender is unknown, the first being Yutani and Tagbot.
• Dino is the first non-limited character that was introduced in game after a World Tour update.
• Dino and Yutani are currently the only non-limited characters without outfits.
• It is a reference of the dinosaur from the social network Facebook, a cartoon blue T-rex that is the "help guide" and mascot of the Privacy Policy of the social network.
• if you log in to Facebook, you will get Dino. but if you later log out, you keep the gifts, but not Dino.

Dino Subway Surfers

King subway surfers

King subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by purchasing with Coin 80,000.

Appearance

King is a overweight boy wearing a paper crown. He wears a blue shirt with the words "I'm 1" written on it. He also wears red shorts and red and white shoes.

He has 2 outfits, with the first outfit being the Count Outfit. The Count Outfit is a Halloween-themed outfit and released in the New Orleans edition. He has a black cape and a black shirt. He isn't wearing his paper crown and has vampire teeth. The words on his shirt are also written in yellow. The rest looks like the default outfit. It costs 15 Key.

He also received the Royal Outfit which changes his paper crown with an actual golden crown, changed his shirt from blue to dark red, and remove his red cape. King received this second outfit, which costs 30 Key, during the New York 2014 edition.

• King and Prince K are both 'royals', due to King's crown and cape and Prince K's shiny gold wear. 
• The "I'm No.1" statement resembles his famous qualification or his majority.
• The name 'King' is probably his nickname.
• Judging from his animations, he seems to like receiving attention.
• King is the first overweight character in the game, the second being Izzy.

King subway surfers

Tagbot Subway Surfers

Tagbot subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by purchasing it with Coin 12,000. It is the second cheapest buyable character in Subway Surfers, behind Lucy.

Appearance
Tagbot is a young robot that wears a hat that is the same as Jake's. It's hat has the words "Sub Surf" on it. Tagbot is one of the few fastest characters in the game. During the Miami world tour, it received a redesign, giving it eyebrows.This was turned back later.



Space Outfit
In Tagbot's Space Outfit, it has blue stripes and a satellite, slightly resembling R2D2 from Star Wars. It also has a few, minor redesigns. It costs 15 Key.

Toy Outfit
In Tagbot's Toy Outfit, it is painted red and with buttons on his chest, and a twisting key, that you twist in order to make the toy move around. It costs 30 Key.

Trivia

• Tagbot was the first buyable character who received outfits.
• Tagbot is currently the only robot in the game.
• This also makes him the only non-human character in the game, excluding the inspector's dog.
• Tagbot's Space Costume slightly resembles R2D2 from Star Wars because of the blue stripes and robot designs. The name of the outfit is also probably referenced to Star Wars (as Star Wars is set in space).
• Tagbot's head is removable, and is sometimes used as a basketball.

Tagbot Subway Surfers

Zoe Subway Surfers

Zoe subway surfers is a character that can be unlocked by purchasing with Coin 120,000. She is the 4th most expensive character and the 2nd most expensive female character in Subway Surfers.

Appearance
Zoe has choppy short purple hair and purple eyebrows. She has light green skin and milky white-gray eyes. Her outfit consists of a red checkered shirt tied up above the waist, blue jeans shorts with black leggings, and red cowboy boots. Her attire looks like one a cowgirl would wear.

In the second release of Rome, Zoe received her first outfit, the Curly Outfit, which costs 15 Key. Her hair has been changed to curly, long and blonde with a purple headband, and her shirt has changed to dark purple.
